We get the picture! We thrive off your reviews for a better Muslim Matrimonials where you will be proud to refer your most trusted friends to!
For a long time we had wanted to add a female Muslim Marriage Counselor on board Habibi Matrimonials because sometimes the sisters may like to refer to a female Muslim Marriage Counselor and the brothers can refer to our wonderful Muslim Marriage Coach, Dr. Gulzar Ahmad.
It is with extreme pleasure we received today that Afshan Khan from UK who has been employed for 25 years as an Islamic Counselor at Sukoon! Sukoon is an Islamic Counselling & Mediation Services for Muslim Women based in UK. She is offering her services for free on a one to one basis for the members at Habibi Matrimonials!
Afshan Khan  work has been around marital issues, family disputes. teenage problems, domestic violence and mediation.  In most cases the underlying factor has cultural misinterpretations of Islam. She feels strongly that many Muslim Marriages could be saved instead of heading into divorce. She is eager and loves to help the ummah and my contact with her made me feel extremely excited to have her part of our team at Habibi Matrimonials.
With all these qualified professionals lending a helping hand to the ummah. It is just now we wait for the ummah to join us!
Below is a clip from her Linkedin profile.

We don't use your profiles as a tease to gain new members. We also do not believe in using females as baits on banners. This to us looks cheezy. Like cheap form of advertising. We know you didn't sign up for a Muslim Matrimonials only to have your picture used in a means to lure the men. It is only after one signs up and is approved by management that the new profile then can see your profile. And if it is your desire to have your profile not viewed by everyone, you CAN change the permission. Hows that for a cool Muslim Matrimonials?

We welcome all ages from 18 up to 90 +. Since our site is still newish we will take time to gather the crowd who tend to be 40+ and older. There are a lot of singles in this age group but the rule of thumb with Muslims is if you are a 40 year old female expect you will have to find a 55 year old man. Why? Muslim men tend to go for younger than he is women 10-15 years younger. It would be nearly impossible for even a gorgeous Muslim woman at age 40 to find a man her age. She may find a lot of men younger than her who want only to use her for a potential Green card (USA) or a Red Card (UK) And smart women never would consider this only desperate women would.

Habibi Matrimonials is considered to based in USA but that doesn't mean Muslims in Africa are not welcomed! We do not care where you come from as long as you are Muslim and seeking a spouse, not looking to seek friendships.

You will notice on Habibi Matrimonials, profile from all countries. Here is a snap shot of some of the countries we have profiles from. I couldn't get every country in the picture, because otherwise you could not read it:

How do we gain profiles?
We wonder the web in almost every way we can think of. We use:
Linkedin.com
Yahoo groups/ Yahoo Answers
Send e-mails to masjeds/ Muslims
Many other Islamic sites like post on message boards at Cordoba Academy
Do permanent  banner exchanges with sponsors with other sites.
We have even done Paid Advertising with Google Ads but that was EXPENSIVE!

We people tweeting us, mentioning us on their Facebook page and on their blogs.

So many people help us in their own way and we never forget their help because maybe it means gaining you!

All our profiles are monitored for one reason. We want to make sure that even old profiles have active e-mails which leads us to believe that you can be contacted by interested members. Once your e-mail bounces back (soft or hard bounces) we delete the profile. After all, if we cannot contact you how can members?
And I am sure as time goes on you do get married and you have all these sites where you forgot the user name and password and even which e-mail you used and you can be assured that at Habibi Matrimonials that we took care of your business for you!

Isn't that nice?

FREE FREE ADVERTISING FOR MUSLIM FREE FREE!

When I started Habibi Matrimonials 3 years ago I expected that I would find really helpful Muslims online that would help me just because I was Muslim. Boy was I wrong! The notion Muslims will help Muslims is not a concept bought by all Muslims. It is  something is kind of rare. The few who were very very kind I can count on one hand and others that were some help was because I was eager and persistent.

For every three rejections, I received a positive acceptance and the acceptance was more likely from Big BIG websites than little ones. Sites that could so easily show arrogance but did not. The sponsors on my site are the best Muslims I happen to run into on the web.

If you want to be in our sponsors page, just contact me. I promise I won't bite. It won't cost you a cent. Hey I know what it felt like to be the little guy. Just send to me ads that are 125x125 and if you need a banner for free I can tell you where to go.

Jazak Allah Khair

Fitna on Ummah.com

I signed up for a profile on Ummah.com and this user above began to harrass me. The user *asiya* kept giving me negative ratings which caused ones profile to look into the negative Rep points. It seems silly to care about Rep Points but the viewers on there feel that someone with a negative Rep point is someone not to be trusted and that is what makes me upset. My reputation online means everything to me, otherwise why would I spend 11 hours a day on my website? I contacted the Admin/ mods and no one really responded. I later found out that it is well known that ummah.com is known for its fitna. You can even see a video on Youtube about the fitna on there & that video was uploaded two years ago.

I wasn't seeking her annoyance yet I did receive it. I recorded it. And it is done.

That's my comment there.

What interested me was the comments from so many users on Muslima.com and they were all negative reviews. It's very exciting to see this because it helps me to know what we should NEVER do!
